New York, NY, October 2, 2017 - AmTrust Title Insurance Company (the “Company” or “AmTrust Title”) today announced that Thomas Klein, Esq., a title insurance veteran with more than 36 years of title insurance experience, has joined as Senior Vice President/National Agency Manager and Manager for Mid-Atlantic agency units. Mr. Klein will immediately step into a senior management role within AmTrust Title, including overseeing the unit, which services larger title agents that operate in multiple states, and building out the infrastructure to support agents in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Washington, DC. He will be based in Richmond, Virginia. “As we fortify our national title insurance operations and surpass 32 licensed jurisdictions, it’s crucial that we have outstanding oversight and Tom brings the agency, commercial and management experience to help take AmTrust Title to the next level,” said Jason Gordon, president of AmTrust Title Insurance Company. ‘Tom is a relationship builder, problem solver, and he understands the importance of maintaining and improving customer relations.” Mr. Klein has an impressive history of consistent title experience. Prior to joining AmTrust Title, he was Senior Vice President and National Agency Division Manager for WFG National Title Insurance Company charged with overseeing one of the largest and most profitable units at the national title insurance underwriter, including launching and overseeing agency operations for eight states—Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC. Earlier, he held senior posts for LandAmerica Financial Group where, among other responsibilities, he advised on field operations of affiliated businesses and RESPA matters and concurrently served as President of Real Title Company (Subsidiary of Lawyers Title) and Vice President, Agency Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation. Mr. Klein was also the Founder/President/Owner of Virginia Escrow & Title Company prior to its acquisition by Lawyers title in the 1987. Mr. Klein’s multiple professional affiliations include: Past President, Virginia Land Title Association; Past Chair, Richmond Business Council of Richmond Chamber of Commerce; Founding Board Member of Board of Corporate Counsel Section, Virginia State Bar; Past Chair, Special Olympics Virginia; Past President, Beth Ahabah Museum & Archives Trust.
