James Casson is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and he has been serving the industry for over 30 years. The last 20 years he served as Vice President of First American Title Insurance Company, Agency Division. Ten years prior to that he served as Vice President of operations for two large multiple state title agencies in the Midwest. James has received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago and has participated in several title insurance related organizations. His tenure in the industry has led James to have firsthand knowledge of the operational requirements of a title agency and it’s underwriting partners. From that knowledge James has provided his customers with consultative solutions to organizational challenges and efficiencies.
Samuel A. Shiel is a title industry veteran with over 27 years of experience as a title examiner, underwriter and legal counsel. He also spent 2 ½ years working as an industry regulator with the State of Illinois Division of Financial Institutions. He has guest lectured for various industry groups and at DePaul University and John Marshall Law School. He is active with the Illinois Land Title Association where he currently sits on the board of directors and chairs the title counsel committee.
Linda L. Solomon has over 30 years in the title industry, working the last 16 years as regional operations manager in the agency department of First American Title Insurance Company. While serving that role she helped consult with agents and their employees to help grow their business. Prior responsibilities included running multiple offices and developing a corporate training program for a large Michigan Agent. Linda has her Bachelors Degree in education from Concordia University and participates in multiple Trade Organizations.
A lifelong resident of Michigan and over 38 years of experience in the title industry. Vern has held positions from sales to management within the Direct and Agency Operations. More recently as the Director of Agency Services Group at First American Title Insurance Company. Based on his understanding of the industry and customer relations he has been successful at assisting agents with their needs and operational efficiencies. He has received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Dearborn.
